ContextThe Denver and Rio Grande Western's crack Scenic Limited left the rails yesterday on a sharp curve nine miles below Granite, Colorado, its engine plunging into the Arkansas river and dragging five coaches after it. Officials at Salida put the dead at twenty-five today, four of them unidentified, with fifty-eight injured in the railroad hospital there.
