ContextTeapot Dome is a naval oil reserve in Wyoming set aside as a fuel supply for the Navy; Albert B. Fall, President Harding's secretary of the interior, leased it in 1922 to the Mammoth Oil Company of Harry F. Sinclair, and the government sued to annul the lease as fraudulent.
