ContextStrikers at the Manville-Jenckes textile mills in Rhode Island have been fighting police since strikebreakers were brought in on Sunday; last night a crowd of 1,800 tried to force the Blackstone River bridge to the plant. National Guard field artillery and medical detachments rolled in after midnight to reinforce state police.
